People did go for ride—sharing and made use of whatever public transport facility was available (Delhi metros were bursting at the seams), But, at the same time, I fel that this policy had too many minuses. Public transport was not geared to cope with the excess load. Taxi and auto fares shot up. The Delhi government overlooked the pollution causing vehicles—the buses, trucks, tempos and two wheelers, As corrective measures, I would like to suggest that pollution causing vehicles should be heavily penalized, sale and registration of new vehicles controlled, pollution checks enforced strictly and a long-term practical planning be put in place. Only then Delhiites will breathe easy in a pollution-free city Yours faithfully Tima Gautam (TINA GAUTAM) oR (8) 17, TT Nagar Bhopal 4620XX 25 June 20XX ‘The Director Chipmuk Enterprise D-7 Vikas Marg Delhi 1100XX Dear Sir Subject: Application for the post of Marketing Manager Inresponse to your advertisement dated 20th June, 20XX in the Times of India, I wish to offer my candidature, | {ullil the conditions laid down in your advertisement. The Maharaja of Pratibandapuram, who was also known as the Tiger King tried to go against what was destined in his fate. The result was tragic and ironical. The vain king banned hunting of the tigers in the State by everyone except himself and was able to kill ninety- nine tigers. He thought he had killed the hundredth tiger also but somchow the bullet missed its mark and the hundredth tiger survived. Then on his son’s birthday, the king bought him a wooden tiger which he felt was a perfect gift for his son. A splinter in it pierced the king’s hand and the infection spread all over his arm causing his death, It was indeed ironical that despite killing all the tigers in his ingdom, the king did finally become the victim of the hundredth tiger and the astrologer’s prediction did come true. oR Bama and Zitkala Sa belonged to marginalized communitis woman who was ill-reated by the whites who adopted force and oppression to compel the natives to shed their age old customs and traditions.
