 Personnel shall be provided with proper PPE’s for hand protection, eyes, Construction

 The operators must have a valid Saudi Aramco certificate to operate the

 Equipment daily inspection checklist will be prepared and must be kept in
the operator’s cabin;
 Excavation protective systems shall be incorporated as the depth of
excavation progresses. Use appropriate protective system necessary for
the type of excavation (shoring, sloping, benching, shielding). Always watch
for hazards associated with activity and stop work if these hazards are
present (water, vibration, soil movement, harmful gases, etc.).
 Ensure the daily pre-excavation checklist is compiled prior to work inside
the excavation.
 Motor Vehicles, Cranes and heavy equipment shall be kept away from the
edge of the excavation a distance of 2m (6.5) or the depth of the
excavation.
 Use water to suppress the dust.
 Use proper personal protective equipment along with dust mask.
 Provide barricade and do not allow unauthorized personnel to be in the
area excavation.
 A Certified Work Permit receiver shall be available at the jobsite. Obtain the
necessary authorization signature if required.

 Ensure to check the ground condition stability and adequacy for lifting

 Crane outrigger must be fully extended with appropriate outrigger mats.

 Operator must have valid SAG license and Saudi Aramco certification.
 Ensure that the equipment to be use is certified and approved by Saudi
Aramco third party.
 Conduct pre-use inspection to the lifting equipment to check its mechanical
condition.
 Operator shall maintain the equipment distance (1.5 x depth of excavation)
from the edge of excavated area.
 Stay away from the moving load.
 Keep hands off away from the edge of the pipe/pinch point.
 Rigger should be the only one giving the signal to the operator.
 Ensure to maintain eye to eye contact to operator.
 Provide taglines to minimize load movements.
 Swing radius must be barricaded provided with visible warning signage’s

 Wind speed should be check regularly and if the wind speed exceeds 32
km/hr stop the lifting activity.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROCEDURE
In an EMERGENCY, or on hearing the “Stop Work
Alarm”, every supervisor shall ensure the following:
1.All work is stopped at once.
2.All Equipment is shut down.
3.All personnel are evacuated to the pre-
determined assembly area.
4. A roll call is taken and every man is accounted
for.
No one is permitted to return to work until notification has
been received from operations or from the company
representative that it is safe to do so.
Ensure that good housekeeping is implemented and done prior to closure of
the permit. All work areas to be thoroughly checked before leaving site.
 Regular disposal of debris and other materials shall be carried out on a
regular basis. Provision for waste bins/containers shall be made available
on the area.
 Ensure that all debris and spoils (excess) are removed on site and properly Construction

Stay on the telephone until you are told to hang-up. If
possible, post a lookout to direct the ambulance, fire
truck, or helicopter to the right location.
