Introduction
The internet is without doubt one of the best resources available
to us.
Unfortunately, it’s also extremely dangerous if you aren’t
aware of who and what lurks behind the scenes.

Since the majority of internet scam and virus victims are

students and young people.

In this source, I will present how to use internet safely and what
to do if accidental situation occurred.

Why using internet safely is important?

 Online safety protects the people
using them from harm by the devices and
networks through awareness, education,
information and technology.

 By practicing Online
Safety/E-safety we can
prevent and mitigate the
risk that are inherently
involved with using digital
technologies, platforms
and services.

 As internet use is becoming more

common among younger aged children it
is important that they learn how to safely
use the internet. Whether this be at home
or at school. The most important step is
parent discussing potential dangers and to
always talk to an adult if they are unsure
of something.

You must also know the standard guidelines when you are using internet so
that you know what to avoid and prevent. Here are some guidelines tips
while using internet;
1) Keep your personal information

2) Keep your privacy setting on

3) Choose a strong password

4) Be careful what you post

5) Be careful what you download

6) Make sure your internet connection is secure

But if you don’t not follow those guidelines, you would deal with risky
situation.
You will probably need to deal with the following situation;
 Cyberbullying (bullying using digital technology) Although cyber security
software can help protect against some threats, the most important safety measure is
open communication with your children.
 Identities theft
 Receiving offensive images and messages
 Strangers who may be there to groom other member

Safety is hard when on social sites. But be careful.
Anyone can access your sites when you give them personal information.

Friends can change quickly so be careful when you tell them online.
Everyone can think they are powerful and act differently behind the
screen.
Think before you enter these sites
You shouldn’t never tell anyone your passwords.
