ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
(NARRATIVE AND PICTORIALS)
ON THE CONDUCT OF CAPACITY BUILDING SEMINAR ON CHILD PROTECTION
POLICY FOR TEACHERS AT LAMUAK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
S.Y. 2019-2020

We are aware that it is not enjoyable to discuss child protection. But it's really vital,

and at Lamuak Elementary School, we take it very seriously. Unfortunately, abuse can take

many different forms. We make every effort to identify and address any circumstances that

might jeopardize a child's mental or physical health, development, or dignity. Physical abuse,

neglect, mental abuse, and sexual abuse are the four basic categories we watch for.

More than just offering health care and education may be done to assist children in

breaking the cycle of poverty. The goal is to ensure the safety of every kid in order to work

toward their overall well-being. The aim of the several parts that make up Children

International's Child Protection Policy is to keep kids and youth safe. It includes agency-

specific child protection protocols, rules for reporting incidents, preventative measures,

training for Lamuak Elementary School staff and volunteers.

According to article VX, section 3 of the Philippine Constitution, children have a right

to help, including sufficient care and nutrition, as well as protection from all types of neglect,

abuse, exploitation, and other circumstances that could harm their development. Order No.

40 of the DepEd S. The Department of Education released the DepEd Child Protection

Policy in 2012, which outlines guidelines for safeguarding schoolchildren who are gravely

threatened or endangered by situations that affect their normal development and are outside

of their control, as well as supporting the relevant agency in their rehabilitation.

Schools are instructed to carry out suitable training and capacity-building activities on

child safety measures and protocols in accordance with the aforementioned regulation

(section 7). In accordance with this, on November 18, 2019, from 8:30 to 11 a.m., Lamuak

Elementary School held a capacity-building training on Deped's Child Protection Policy. The

training's resource speaker is Ms. Norzamina G. Nawal , a school guidance counsellor. The

rights and obligations of children, bullying, and laws governing child protection policy were

among the important subjects that were covered.

Attached are pictures of the capacity building training.
