This document discusses the Working Strength Design (WSD) method for calculating flexural stresses in reinforced concrete members. It provides equations to calculate:
1) The modular ratio (n), which is the ratio of steel to concrete modulus of elasticity.
2) The cracked and uncracked section properties including moment of inertia (IT).
3) The flexural stresses (Fb) based on either the concrete strength (Fc) or steel strength (Fs).
It also gives the allowable stresses for horizontal and vertical reinforced concrete members.
