INSTALLATION

The Universal indicator is shipped in shockproof packing. Unpack the instrument and
check for visible damage , if any. If any damage is observed or loose material is sensed
in the instrument, do not switch it on before the defect is set right.

The instrument is design for mounting on panel. It required cut out of 92 mm (H)
92 mm (w). / 44 mm (H) x 92 mm.

All field terminations are done at the back of the instrument. Two terminal strips are
provided for the termination. The connections are made as per the details below.

g All modes are password protected. Factory set password is 0000.

g To enter into particular mode or parameters, press enter key.

g To come out from any of the mode or parameter, press Function

key F.

g Instrument has auto-out facility. In any mode or parameter, if key

is not pressed for 20 sec.,instrument will automatically come out
in default screen except in calibration mode.

g In Parameter mode, using up key & pass key, user can set zero,
span, decimal point, setpoint1, setpoint2, hysteresis1, hysteresis2,
alarm1 type, alarm2 type as desire.

g Instrument will display the process value as per set zero & span
value.
Also give the output low & output high as per set zero & Span value.

g DP (Decimal Point) parameter will appear only for mA, 0-10 V DC,
1-5 V DC, mV, & OHMS inputs.

NOTE :- Press enter key to store the new value set. Otherwise
new value wont be stored.

g In Calibration mode user can calibrate all inputs, once calibrated

all inputs, no need to re-calibrate again, just change input
type.

g For input calibration connect precise input source to the input

terminals.
Set the low value of the input in the source & press enter key in
IP_L parameter. The display will show some HEX value.
Now set the high value of the input in the source & press enter key
in IP_H parameter. The display will show some HEX value.

g CJC transistor is provided on back side of the instrument.

Press enter key in CJC parameter (In case of T/C input).

g In output type mode, user can select the Liner or square root for
outpu signal as well as display.

g For output calibration, connect 4 ½ multi meter to the output

terminals. Using Up key & Pass key(Down key) user can set the low
& high value of the output in the form of 4 - 20 mA signal.

g In calibration mode, instrument does not have auto-out facility.

So always use F key to come out in default screen.

10.
NOTES:-
g Whenever input type is changed, no need to calibrate the
input again.
Also, no need to calibrate output, once calibrated..

g Given below is the calibration range of the non linear I/Ps.

Always calibrate the instrument with following ranges.
But Instrument will give the retransmission output as per
zero & span value set in the configuration mode.
