Instructions for using this spreadsheet

Start by entering ingredients and costs for each item within the ingredients
sheet. (Tabs for sheets are along the bottom of the sheet)

Enter recipe formulations for each product in the formulation sheet. It is


important to convert all recipes to a starting meatblock weight of 10lbs.

By default the recipe sheets are protected to safeguard the formulas within
each recipe sheet. In order to create a new recipe sheet do the following, right
click on a "Sausage" tab and select "Move or Copy" from the list. Select the
"create a copy" check box at the bottom of the new window. A new sheet will
be created and can be renamed as necessary. Within the new sheet, select the
review tab at the top of the select the "unprotect sheet", and the new recipe
sheet can be modified for the appropriate recipe.

How to modify a new recipe sheet


In the formulation sheet, move to the recipe that you want to modify and where
the ingredient Sx Ing1 is listed, replace with the first ingredient in your recipe.
Insert the weight of the ingredient in column B. Repeat for the remaining
ingredients in your formulation. If the number of ingredients exceeds the
allotted cells, copy the formula fromt the cell above and paste it in the next cell
down and continue until the formulation is complete. Remember to copy and
paste both columns, the ingredient name as well as the formulation weight.
You will also need to insert any additional rows on the formulation sheet for that
specific recipe. If the allotted ingredient cells are more than the recipe calls for,
simply delete the contents of the cells that are not needed for the recipe.
