THANK YOU SO MUCH for choosing to join the STITCHALONG!

I’ve had so
much fun making it and planning it and I hope you’ll love stitching it up with
me everyday!

You’ll notice this pattern has no instructions! That’s because we will stitch it
up together each day for the month of February! You'll have to watch the
videos and stitch along each day to see how the pattern gets stitched.

We start on 1 February and will stitch every day for the whole month. The
stitchalong will end on Tuesday 28 February.

Be sure to follow @thebarmyfox on Instagram to access the live videos

where you can watch me stitch live, ask questions and even stitch yourself!
Videos will be around 19:30 GMT (England time) and you can watch them
on IGTV whenever you want. After that, the videos will be saved to YouTube
so you can watch them over and over if you need to!

Videos will be every single day for the entire month, but don’t feel like you
need to nish the entire hoop by the end of the month! Dip in and out
whenever you want, and learn the stitches you want to learn!

Feel free to experiment and just try your best! I truly think that everyone is
able to do embroidery, and it can be such a therapeutic hobby. It reminds us
to slow down, especially when life is so fast paced these days! Take time for
yourself each day.

If you have questions about any of the stitches or the stitchalong itself, or
need to get ahold of me for any reason, use the email at the end, or
Instagram messages!

I cannot wait to stitch with you!

Lots of love!

Tory xx

Stitches: For this pattern, we’ll use a wide variety of stitches! I’ll
show you each day how to do the stitches but feel free to look at my
YouTube channel which has examples of all the stitches.

Colour suggestions: You can use whatever colours that make you
happy! Choose some greens and choose your favourite colours, and
you’re good to go!! Whatever will give you the most inspiration!

There are no colours for the free pattern, just pick whichever colours
you like!

Also we won’t be using loooooads of each colour, so pick whichever ones you have and just get
started!

I’ll show you how to hoop the fabric and

get started before the stitchalong begins!

Here are the written instructions as well.

Get out your hoop and fabric, and put

the fabric in the hoop, making sure it is
taut and makes a drum like sound when
tapped. Make sure there are no gaps or
sagging bits of the fabric. You’re going
to want to tighten the hoop about
halfway, then pull the fabric tight all the
way around, and then tighten the hoop
more, then tighten the fabric more. It’s a
little ddly but you’ll get it. There is a video in my highlights on Instagram showing how to do this!

There are a couple ways to transfer the image onto your fabric. You can print out the pattern, cut
out the circle and place it behind the hoop so you can trace it. You can even tape your pattern to
a window and trace it that way too! The other way is to use your computer screen or iPad. Zoom
in/out to make it the right size and then turn your hoop over so the fabric is at against the screen,
and trace it that way!

You might need to adjust how large it prints out depending on your computer and printer settings,
and how large you would like your hoop to be! I wouldn’t make it any smaller than six inches
because of the details! Included in this pattern are three sizes, 6 inches, 7 inches and 8 inches.

Take your time tracing the pattern onto the fabric. This is what you are going to stitch over, so if
you trace it wonky, you are probably going to stitch it wonky as well!

When I am nished tracing, (when I trace it on the iPad or on a window), I like to take the fabric
out of the hoop and re-hoop it the right way. Lots of people will start stitching as it is in the photo,
but I prefer to stitch with it the other way around.

Gather up your materials and have them all on one place. It makes it so much easier to have
everything close by! I’ve given colour suggestions but you should choose the colours that make
YOU happy! It’s up to you!

The threads I use, and most that you buy at the store, have six strands. We’ll use a variety of
di erent strands for this pattern. Feel free to experiment with two, three or four strands by
separating them as shown!

The idea with this Stitchalong is that we are going to make

a little disco ball of embroidery! Over the entire month of
February we will learn 29 di erent stitches and ll in the
entire hoop! I’ve given you the outline of the the lines, and
then you’ll draw the di erent elements in each day. Do not
worry! It is dead easy! There’s a little sample of it here to
show what it *might* look like.

DO NOT TRACE THIS ONTO YOUR HOOP.

ONLY TRACE THE LINES IN THE ACTUAL
PATTERN!!!
