INTRODUCTION

The reason for choosing this type of business is the present wave of health consciousness that

persons have. Individuals are now adopting a more positive attitude towards maintaining a

healthy lifestyle and this includes becoming involved in sporting activities. These activities

demand, to an extent, a certain ode of dress and the use of specific pieces of equipment.

To move with the crowd and to show that you have adopted a “get-fit” mentally, individuals

want to dress the part and also play or move the part. Many sporting goods stores do not have

the color, the style or the require gear for existing or would be customers. Therefore, we at

SNT International Sports Store think it feasible to venture into this sector to provide the

required gears required by these customers.

Our business name is S.N.T INTERNATIONAL SPORTS STORE and will feature a

variety of sporting goods. We intend to sell jerseys, football boots, shin pads, footballs, sports

bags and so on.

Our plan is to extend the business worldwide to other countries as we intend to cater for all

markets once we can position ourselves on a much larger global scale.

We are proposing to establish locations in Montego Bay (St. James), Ocho Rios (St. Ann) and

in Kingston. We have an overseas location in the United Kingdom. The reason why I choose

these locations is because these locations are tourist attractions people from all over the world

travel all these places.

We would also like to give sponsors to sports athletes like footballer’s runner’s etc.

POPULATION AND SAMPLE

The sampling method used was stratified sampling. This sampling method was chosen

because the researchers wanted to highlight a specific subgroup within the population. The

researchers chose are schoolers and others who were workers for the research. The target

group was young adults with age ranges from 7and over.

These people were selected because they are people who have a source of income , they need

these Equipments to do sporting activities; the potential respondents ranged from all income

brackets.

METHODOLOGY

For this research, it was decided that to garner useful information, was to administer one

method of investigation. The method of investigation used were questionnaires.

These questionnaires were done on forms and brought out via whats App.

Twenty questionnaires were prepared and administered to the respondents. This was to

ensure that all twenty questionnaires would be collected. The administration of the

questionnaire was done a few days after the questionnaire was set up.

FINDINGS

48% of the respondents were female while 52% were males.

Based on the pie chart above 88% of the respondents were students, 4% government workers,
none were private sector workers, 8% self-employed and 4% house keepers. The result shows
that most of the applicants were students.

Information that was gathered from the questionnaire shows that 40.7% of the respondents
said they are likely to try a new brand, 37% unlikely and 22.2% highly likely.

Pie chart above, shows that most of the respondents bought sports gears once a year and the

least number of respondents bought gear once a month.

In the bar graph above, it is shown that 82% of the respondents preferred to purchase goods

online and 18%prefered in store purchase. It is shown that now a days people prefer to

purchase goods online than in store.

In pie chart above, it is shown that a 75% of respondents preferred to pay for their goods and

service in person while 18% preferred online and 7% through the bank. Most person chose in

person because it is on of the most efficient ways to pay for something, which won’t cause in

chaos.

Analysis of Result

SNT International Sports Store is a new business venture geared towards providing sporting

materials internationally. The idea came together when three friends who interested in sports

decided that wanted to start a business providing such services.

This service will cater for children, teenagers, and adults. The service would offer various

options that each group of persons can choose from.

Based on findings, when respondents were asked to state their gender, the majority were

males. This was so because males are more interested in sporting materials for example: their

favorite foot club jersey. In researching now, a day’s females are starting to be fond of

sporting activities like football, track and field, cricket etc. However, this has made them

more interested in buying sporting equipment like, football shoes, gears, balls, etc.

In doing research most of the respondents to the questionnaire were students. Students are

growing to be fond of sporting activities. In schools’ students are being advised to join a

sports club and be more involved. When these students join these clubs, they will need the

necessary gears to continue with these sports. SNT international sporting store, will be that

sport to cater these students with the necessary equipment’s. Also, other respondents of the

questionnaire like, the government workers, private sector workers etc. they will also need

sporting equipment’s to use and SNT will be that store to offer the necessities.

In the data collection, there was a high number of respondents who were likely to try a new

brand. Being able to try a new brand means that they put their trust in the brand and what it

has to offer.

Now a days people prefer to purchase goods online rather than in store. This is so because

things are being modernized and goods online are getting cheaper than those in store.

They way most persons are seeking to pay for their goods and service are in person. Why this

is, because to prevent chaos person rather pay you for your good and service in person; so

they can be assured that you got that you got your money in hand an nothing fraudulent

happened.

People may sometimes need gears for a particular reason, but they are unable to do so at

times because the gears they need are no affordable. SNT will provide gears that are

affordable and meet the criteria for people who can only afford equipment’s at a certain price.

Conclusion
SNT International Sporting Store shows great signs of success and the ability to add value to

the community, the business will be one that values its integrity and its customers. The

business will always seek new ways to grow and satisfy its customers. Though the business

may not be one that offers a new service to the market, it is one that will add social and

economic value to the community. The research provides information on the potential

demand for the service which highlights profit outcomes.

S.N.T will offer a wide range of products that will be geared towards meeting the needs of

the customer. The business intends to offer readymade and customized sports apparel that are

trendy and fashionable. Customized personnel will be provided within specified from

rewords. S.N.T is aiming to be one of fastest customer Service Company out there; we will

manufacture our own goods. We hire the best carpenters and shoes makers and tailors in

Jamaica and from around the world. We also have a customer segment in place here at S.N.T,

we get to know our customers like what they like what they don’t like and build a

relationship with them because customers don’t exit to buy, we exit for them.

We have channels, our channels run from producer or manufacture then to the consumers and

retailers to distributers wholesalers, agent’s brokers then to the companies. We also have web

channels and mobile channels also to sell our customers online, we also have a system where

we collect customers data when they buy something, we greet them with a smiley face and

warm well come, we make our customers feel welcome and important here at S.N.T. we

provide very high quality goods from around the world and we make our own clothing as

well and boots, we offer the best sports goods out there.

Our major partner that we have is Outsourced contractor they are a key partner here at S.N.T.

S.N.T is located at Maroon Town St James and Montego Bay as well and we also have a store

in the United Kingdom. We open at 7:00 am and closed at 5:00 pm, in the United Kingdom

we open 8:30 and closed at 5:30. This business is great for sports lovers and high schools as

well because we deliver our goods safe and carefully and a business like this can better the

community.

S.N.T is a sports business that will be operating in the community of ST James, with mixed

families and people with different status and class. This business is established to give the

best customers service and provide the best sports gar out there. The researchers did an

evaluation of the common the mistakes of the other major sports business in the area and the

This business seeks to build relationships with our customers to make them feel important

and feel comfortable. This business is aimed at providing the best customers service and the

company for the people of maroon town who wants sports goods and boots to buy.

environments. These include parents, children, and the community and in the town. The

operators of S.N.T International sports highly believe that the children will strive from this

because there will be reasonable pricing of the product and they can bring old product to get

There are several other sporting stores in the town, but they are not completely designed to

provide all the goods and services that we are providing thus we are at an advantage and

above in the completion as children, adults and schools will feel at ease knowing that they get

the best products and services. We will be the only sporting goods company that provides

products to schools, children, and adults from ages 6-60. Therefore, we will be at a greater

advantage in the business industry.

As mentioned before our business will have products available for children, adults, and schools. For

example, if a school wanted to get cleats for students who are on the football team, we will be able to

provide it for the children and even the coach who is an adult. Therefore, we are different from other
