Ways to become a chemical engineer

To become a chemical engineer, you have to pass the bachelor's degree in chemical engineering at local universities or abroad universities that are recognized by the country. Since the fields of engineering, especially chemical engineering is a popular, many universities offer this course. Universities that offer this course are Universiti Teknologi (UTM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS).

Abroad, the course is offered by many countries such as in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Japan, Korea and Singapore.

There are several ways that allow you to further study chemical engineering at local universities and abroad:
The first way: STPM candidate / equivalent -Candidates must pass in STPM with

principal subjects of physics, chemistry, pure mathematics, advanced mathematics and general studies. You also need to pass the SPM and the Malay language distinctions.

University that takes STPM candidates are UKM, UM, USM, UPM and UMS. This qualification can also be accepted by universities in the U nited Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Singapore.
The second way : Matriculation Programmes, you need to pass SPM with credits in

Malay, English, modern mathematics, additional mathematics, physics and chemistry, and some subjects of science / technical-related air. This program takes about one and a half years, organized b y the Ministry of Education Matriculation Center. Upon graduation, you will be offered as young scholars at local universities .

The third way : The program at UTM taking SPM for a course in chemical

engineering. The requirement you need to pass in the SPM are the Malay language, mathematics, and not less than three subjects of science and engineering . Courses at the undergraduate level in UTM will take five years.

The fourth way: The program organized by the Public Service Department (PSD)

and Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) for. It is a pre-university and undergraduate programs at universities in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Japan and Korea. The programs are American Associate Degree (AAD), American Degree Program (ADP), A -Level, Australian Matriculation Program (AUSMAT) and International Baccalaureate (IB).

The fifth way: Distance Learning (Distance Learning) at the USM done; offer

courses in chemical engineering. Terms needed is at least one principal and two subsidiary subsidiaries STPM equivalent of merit and Malay. Those with a SPM or its equivalent in science stream and five years work experience in related fields may also apply.
