Agricultural Extensions in India.

Agricultural Extension is the process of teaching the farmers in the farm and helps
to increase the production rate, which not only increases the production of food
and its products it also supports the nation in terms of self-reliance and so on.
The Government of India has taken many measures to improve the living standard of
people in terms of the produce they own in the farmlands.

However, the monthly income of the farmer is around RS.8500 based on the base year
of 2015 and it has the intention to double the income of the farmer by 2022. and it
is based on the recommendation of Ashok Dalwai committee. To increase the farmers
income, they are guiding the farmers in multi-pronged ways like
1. Capacity Building.
2. IEC-Information Education and Communication.
3. Creating awareness about the soil conditions and the fertilizers used and
natural ways to improve the productivity of the soil.
4. Creating Self Help Groups for the farmer's support.
5. Providing Technological advice to the farmers.
6. Intention of increasing the crop productivity, Government has given many
measures like SHC- Soil Health Card scheme for every 2 years for the farmers.
7. Providing the KCC, kisan credit card for the one, who needs of money for the
farming.
8. With the help of government apps and websites they provide the data about the
prediction data for rainfall, and they use the farming land for low seasonal crops
or others to avoid any mishaps.
9. Community gatherings among the farmers and they provide data and other useful
and successful stories about the successful farmers.
10. Farmers producers' organization and farm clubs are also useful in distress
situations of the farmers.
