I. Objective
At the end of the session, learners will be able to illustrate the importance of qualitative research
across fields. CS_RS12-Ia-c-2
Enabling objectives:
Specifically, learners shall be able to:
a) illustrate the importance of quantitative research across fields.
b) identify the fields or areas of interest that the given qualitative studies would address
c) value the use of qualitative data in everyday living.
III. Procedure

The class will review the previous discussion by answering these questions:
What are the differences between quantitative and qualitative research?
What are the strengths and weaknesses of qualitative research?
How about its kinds?

2.1. Activity: Picture Me Out! (suggested time 5 mins.)

1. Skills of Technical, Vocational, and Livelihood Students (TVL) and its relevance to their preferred
courses in college.
2. Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic in the economic activities in the CALABARZON Region.
3. Comparative analysis of the behavior of viewers in the city and those in the province
Directions. Directions: Below are some of the importance of qualitative research on various fields. Classify
each of them as to STEM, HUMSS or ABM field.
1.Research helps design a new product or service, figure out what is needed and ensure that the development
of a product is highly targeted towards demand.
2.It helps in determining the effectiveness and side effects of a vaccine to a certain population.
3.It helps in providing designs which are creatively difficult.
4.It provides solutions to the social problems directly felt by the people.
5.It identifies the problems of the deteriorating quality of education.
