Easter

 Origin:
Passover is a festival of Jewish origin, commemorating the freedom of the Hebrew
people after a long period of slavery in Egypt.
With the same sense of liberation and hope, the Christian Easter arises later with the
commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

 Tradition:
One of the traditions of Easter is chocolate eggs, which signify the beginning of the
universe. This tradition started with the Chinese who colored duck eggs to celebrate
life and gave them as gifts to other people.
The Easter bunny, on the other hand, means fruitfulness and rebirth, and has Anglo-
Saxon origins; in fact, at that time it was a hare that symbolized Easter. Actually, the
animal that carries the little eggs to the children changes depending on the region.

 Curiosity:
In Brazil, Germany, Switzerland and other countries, Easter eggs are hidden for
children and adults to find. The baskets are decorated and filled with bunnies and
chocolate eggs.

 Which countries celebrate:

Only countries whose predominant religion is not Christian do not celebrate, the rest
all the others do, each with its own tradition.
