Afghanistan serves as the plot setting for a story of friendship, culture, and
ethical judgments in Khaled Hosseini's novel “The Kite Runner”. The affiliation
between Amir Jan and his servant son Hassan has served best memory to
commemorate all the good things happens. They enjoyed playing with a kite together
since Amir was good in controling it on air and Hassan was his kite runner. Actually,
both have won the local kite tournament in their local community, and Hassan also
gets racial and sexual abuse from Assef when he catches the broken-down kite. When
Amir distanced himself from Hassan and expressed a desire for a new servant, their
friendship began to destroy and there are emphasis of gaps.
For simple and excellent understanding, let me give you chunk information of
the story of Amir, a prosperous Pashtun boy. He shared his childhood activities and
harmony with Hassan, Ali's servant's son. The best kite runner Amir had ever been
with, Hassan, assisted in recovering the last severed kite but was raped by Amir's
classmates. Despite everything, Amir chose not to assist Hassan. Their tight friendship
ended after Amir admitted to being a timid person. Amir ended connection with
Hassan after he left the place where he usually live and be with his father in America.
After a long time, Rahim Khan, one of Baba's partner in business, told Amir the truth
that Hassan was his half-brother biologically. Eventually, finding a way to pay his
mistake, Amir adopted Hassan's son, Sohrab.
Overall, the actors did a great job playing their roles in the film. Amir's assets,
character appearance in details, the history of Afghan leaders, the backstories of some
characters, some of their ethical behaviors, and the locations where specific events
took place were a few small aspects that the film pass over. Hassan was known as the
"Kite Runner" and would chase kites for his friend and mentor Amir. Also, I was quite
impressed with this film because It highlights the worth of love and friendships. After
seeing this film, I came to understand the value of friendship and the necessity of
appreciating our happy life.
