There is a growing trend towards approaching knowledge by

establishing reading habits. While some people think that the national
leader should make libraries free in every town, others say that it is
unnecessary because people can gain access to the Internet instead of
physical libraries. Both viewpoints are acceptable, but I personally lean
towards the former.
In today’s world, with the development of cutting-edge
technologies, this helps residents easier to use the Internet to approach
knowledge than physical books. With just one click, people can find
everything they want. Therefore, there is no need for people to go to
libraries. Furthermore, when using the Internet, users can take note of
significant things on their own devices and save necessary data but
libraries can not. Besides, there are resources of endless information
which are free of charge, because of being scanned before being uploaded
on the Internet.
Despite the aforementioned benefits, I would contend that the
potential drawbacks of utilizing the Internet. Firstly, although using the
Internet is a plus point, it is not familiar with the old. Sometimes the
Internet is too complex for elderly people to use. What is more, the
invalid information is not verified, which leads to the tabloid press, even
the false truths. Consequently, users can be overloaded with information
and may access misleading information.
Another point worth noting is physical books can overcome the
above demerits. Not only does utilizing libraries enable people all of the
ages to expand knowledge, but it is also for all walks of life to enrich the
knowledge of the community. Before being sold on the market, the
information in the book was checked, ensuring that the data is accurate.
Additionally, libraries are tranquil places to study and helps people have a
chance to socialize with others relating to work and life.
In conclusion, both views are beneficial for users, but libraries still
play a vital role in society, so it is essential for the authority to establish
libraries.
