MEDIAN is the middle value in a set of quantities. It
separates an ordered set of data into two equal parts.
In order to get the value of the median, simply
arrange first the data or quantities into ascending or
descending order.
Then there are two condition in getting the value of
the median;
1. If the set of data is even, the median is the
mean of ( n2 +1)and( n2 ).
2. If the set of data is odd, the median is ( n+12 ) Example. Find the median of the following sets of
quantity. scores.
23, 15, 9, 30, 27, 10, 18, 14, 13
