Pattern Instructions
Notes: When you see stitches in brackets, it means that all the
ones in the bracket are worked in to one stitch.
Example: (sc inc) means 2sc worked in to one stitch.
(3sc) means 3sc in the same stitch.
(3sc) x 2 means 3sc in each of the next 2 stitches.
Following the tutorial and using the recommended yarn, your
finished cushion will measure approx. 15”(38)cm wide
and approx. 5”(12.5) deep.
Picture 2 is showing the parts you need to make for one side of the
train. If you want to decorate both sides you will only need to
make 3 more wheels, 3 more candy sticks and one more window.

Assembly
Place the 2 parts together with the good side on the inside (p1/2).
Move the icing edge out of the way for now (p3).
Crochet the brown edges together from the top of each side to
approx. 12 stitches on the base as shown by the markers in (p4).
This should leave you with approx. 20 stitches for the opening (p5).
Leave the roof open for now. Turn right side out (p6 & insert).

straight edges meet, above the last curve of the icing (p1/2).
Sew all the way across to the other end and finish above the curve
there (p3).
Insert stuffing (p4).
The stuffing should be firm and even but don’t over stuff (p5).

Attach the window approx. 4 rows up from the top of the wheels,
(depending on how firm you stuffed ). There should be a clear gap
between the top of the window and the roof icing and enough space
on either side for the candy sticks. Don’t sew those on yet. Just hold
them on to check that the window is in the right place (p1).
Sew the end of the sill on (p2), go around the window edge (p3) to
the other end of the sill, then sew across the base of the window (p4).
Sew the cookie to the top of the fuselage, It should touch the cab and
have a space at the front (p5/6).
Add the candy sticks. Place one end of the left one in the middle of
the top edge of the middle wheel (p7), move it in a straight line up to
the top so the end will be hidden by the roof icing (p1/8).
