INSTALLATION INSTALLATION DIAGRAM CONNECTION DETAILS pose com ps Wir Blox owe (eu GO SHO Uk UPPER SLAB CONNECTION CONNECTION FROM WALL ‘CONNECTION PANEL TO PANEL STEP 1: PREPARATION, CLEARING LOCATION / POSITIONING & SIZING a. Removal of all obstructions within the vicinity of the installation area and clean the structural base. . Structural base should be level prior to installation. *** In case structural base design is uneven/inclined, use a cement footing or zocalo to avoid using larger quantity of adhesives at bottom of panels, ©. Prior to installation, a laser guide can be used to ensure straightness of the panels. Alteratively, a2 ‘temporary nylon string can be used for guidance. 4. Use an electrical circular saw to cut the panels into the desiredimeasured size in accordance to the height of each panel vs height of the wall area. Refer to the installation diagram to view the recommended cut per area, Ideally, installation of panels are to be done alternating with a full-sized panel stacked over cut-sized panel or vice versa . Use at least 8-9 inches diameter circular saw, depending on the thickness of the panel {. Existing structural components (columns/beams) should be straight prior to installation G.I the end paint terminated without column, additional mortar on the edges is required to protect and covered the EPS, h. in case panel is prone to water like in toilet and bath application of water proofing is required to avert the sip in of water, STEP 2: CONNECTING OF PANELS a. Mix cement adhesive uniformly and apply evenly onto the side ofthe panel that willbe direct joined ‘against the structural components (base/columns) and to each other paneis, Use the male side and female side to join the panels, while pushing the edges together tightly to squeeze ‘out excess adhesive. For any cut or sized panels, join the fat side fo female side together. ¢. Maximum allowable installation area prior to any structural component such as stee! channels/barsibeams, concrete beamsstifeners, el i. Linear length: 6.0 meters or 10 vertical panels side-by-side, i, Linear height 4.5 meters or 2 vertical panels stacked. 4d Use ruler guide of at least 2 meters with a crowbar to move the panels. . For each joining edge between (1) panel to panel and (2) panel to structural base/column, hammer in steel round bars in an L-shape manner or 45-degree angle for to secure locking, Refer to installation diagram for locations of steel round bars: i. L-shaped steel bars will be used for panel to structural slab, column or soffit ii. Diagonal 45-degree angle will be used for panel-o-panel connection |. Straighiness must continuously be measured using ruler guide, in order for wal system to comply within | 35mm per linear meter. STEP 3: JOINTS & FILLING / ACCESSORIES INSTALLATION 4. Fill ll gaps and portions ofthe joints with additional adhesive, Ensure there will be Smm space for joint filing with either anti-crack tape or paintable sealant ». Clean and dry the surface of the joints prior to apply the protective filing, which is either anli-crack tape or jointing compound for interior walls while exterior jointing compounds or paintable sealants for exterior wall 6. Ensure connector edge of the panel face have been recessed at least 1-2mm via electrical sanding tools prior to applying the joint filing material to prevent bulging. 4d. For accessories such as pipes. wiring channels, etc, draw the location of the accessory and follow the drawing using circular grinder to cut the desired width and depth of the accessory. After cutting Chip off the remaining composite materials inside the panel to be able to slot it the accessory. . Once inside, cover the accessory using the adhesives or cement mortar and ensure the area is polished clean prior to applying finishing materials such as skim coat and painting, STEP 3A: Doors & WINDOWS: a. All openings for doors and windows that are: within 1.8m wall area length, may not require any. lintel beams / channels, The panel will be horizontally situated and top of two vertically installed panels which will support the horizontal panel above. b. Refer to installation diagram for cutting methodology of the panel ©. Door jambs will be directly installed on the panel sidings using bolt-in methodology together with adhesives such as cement adhesives, mortar or PU sealants, 4. Door jambs installation must be carrying load of the door and movement of the door, while the panels will only be an additional reinforcement to affixed to the entire wall STEP 4: FINISHING ae a Panels ate ready to receive skim coating and painting ance all works (step 1-3) are completed and dried. b. Any of the following materials may be used to finish walling 1 * Direct painting + Wall claddings + Wall tiles * Other wall finish materials ©. For areas that are prone to receive water, ensure that there will be waterproofing such as in exterior walls, toilets, slab applications and similar nature VL PREVENTIVE MEASURES OF JOINT CRACKS ‘A, ECOWALL panets that are installed property will be free from cracking, Cracking from any wall systems are usually on the connection joints, in which the size of ECOWALL minimizes those joints compared with other wall systems. B. Ifinstalled wet or moist, joints will open up / crack requiing repair. Under normal environmental conditions, the face pane! has significantly greater dimensional stability than wood or vinyl-based products C. Ensure that connections points are closed in firmly while the adhesive cement i filed up equally atthe complete side where there willbe joining male-female connectors. For non-malelfemale connector jointing such as to slabs or columns or other structural points, adhesive cement also needs to be fied completely and evenly. b. Ensure securely fastened connection points with ste! bars to prevent movement, ._ Anti-crack tapes will additionally prevent movement between the two connection points. E. Addionally,a thin ayer of skim coating jointing compound will be used fo cover up the joints so that surface will be even upon applying finishing F. For exterior surface, an additional fiber mesh tape may be added on top of the anti-crack tape for further prevention of any cracks along the connection points. This is prior to the application of skim coating VIL. WEIGHT & HANDLING LOADS A. The ECOWALL may carry hanging loads of up to 50k per point. For loads that will exceed the maximum hanging load, it must be evenly and unfomly distibuted across multiple points B. The radius of the load shall be 1ft around the single point. G. Use expansion botts for any hanging points # abjects to secure fasten the connecting paint. D, On a lateral / flexural basis, 1 single panel will be able to carry the load of Sx its own weight. VIL.
