Qualifications:

• Must have completed a degree in Bachelor of Science in Architecture


• Must already hold a valid registration, license, or other kind of professional
recognition as an architect.
• Have practised for at least seven years as registered.
• Must have finished a certain term of practical, diverse training lasting at least two
years in total.
• Must have a current and active membership in the United Architects of the
Philippines (UAP), and Integrated and Accredited Professional Organization of
Architects (IAPOA).

Steps:

STEP 1: Pre-requisites
• Have a degree in Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
• 2 years, of diverse practical pre-licensure experience.
• have passed the architect’s licensure examination.
STEP 2:
• (Self-Assessment) Conduct a self-evaluation to see if you meet the requirements
to continue with your application.
STEP 3:
• Fill out the Forms for Application for Registration.
STEP 4:
One (1) original and two (2) copies of the following documents should be prepared for
the submittals.
a. Covering Letter (see sample)
b. 3-copies of 2” x 2” photographs taken during the last 6 months, 1 photo attached
where indicated in each copy of the Binder.
c. Completed Forms for Application for Registration as an APEC Architect
d. Photocopies of documents and other submittals required in the Forms for Application
e. Detailed Curriculum Vitae indicating your employment history, experiences, awards
and achievements, involvement in the UAP-IAPOA, and civic involvement
f. Certified True Copy of IAPOA Certificate
g. Certification of Authenticity of Information and Document (see sample)
h. NBI Clearance
STEP 5:
• Pay the $50.00 USD (or current Philippine Peso equivalent) non-refundable
application fee.
STEP 6:
• Application will be reviewed by the APEC Architect Project Monitoring
Committee, Philippine Section (MC-Phi).
• The MC-Phi will notify the applicant for Professional Interview (PI).
STEP 7:
• Your application will be sent to the Central Council of the APEC Architect Project
for consideration if the MC-Phi determines that it meets all the conditions and
standards outlined by the Central Council.
• Non-refundable processing charge worth $200.00 USD (or its equivalent in PHP)
STEP 8:
• You will be registered to the APEC Architect Register and granted the right to
use the APEC title Architect.
• You must pay US$250.00 to finalize your registration as an APEC Architect.

Where will be the Filipino architect submit their documents for evaluation in order
to be evaluated if they meets the qualification of an APEC architect?
• Architects must submit documents to the appropriate Monitoring Committee.
Who evaluates the documents submitted by the filipino architect and once
approved, confer to him the title APEC ARCHITECT.
• The APEC Architect Project Monitoring Committee, Philippine Section (MC-Phi)
will evaluate the application.
