REACTION PAPER ABOUT THE SPEECH OF CORY AQUINO

In her speech, she stated that her husband sacrificed his life to have a democracy or freedom of
the country. She stated what her husband experienced under the dictatorship of the late President FEM.
In her speech, she also stated what they felt when Ninoy Aquino died. Her speech was punctuated by
numerous references to her significant other, Ninoy Aquino. After her references to her husband, she
stated how they elected her as the new president of the Philippines. She begun to state how the
election process during the election that time and what she’d been through just to give the people a
better country with democracy. She also discussed the importance of democracy and why they pushed it
to end the dictatorship. Her speech is full of love for the people and for the freedom of our country. She
even said that she will do everything for the betterment of her country. She also stated that cooperation
and strengthening between two countries for a new beginning that may lead to positive results. She also
discussed the common concern which is the poverty and unemployment. She also stated the burdens of
Filipinos but what they want is freedom. She ended her speech by encouraging America to join her as
she build a new beginning that full democracy to our country.
