We have completed a first assessment of your application and need more information before we can
go any further.
Please address the following concerns so that we can proceed with your application:

ASH with conditions

NOTE TO IMMIGRATION OFFICER: No RFI required on this issue. If this application is approved, the
applicant will receive an "ASH with conditions" version of the approval letter containing generic
information about what ASH with conditions means. Go to the "Visa & Approvals" tab and add notes
to the Visa Letter to tell the client what medical information they will need to provide with their next
application. You will find this information in the "further requirements" tab in IHS.

Police certificates

Immigration instruction A5.5 states that anyone aged 17 and over applying for a temporary entry
class visa who intends to stay in New Zealand for 24 months or longer requires a character check.
This 24-month period includes time already spent in New Zealand. Applicants must submit a police
certificate from their country of citizenship and any other country in which they have lived for five or
more years since turning 17.

As you have declared that you spent more than five years living in Japan, please provide a police
certificate for that time period.
Please see the link here for further information on how to obtain a Police Certificate that is
recognised by Immigration New Zealand.
