In our culture, the Goddess is regarded as the Adishakti, the Mother of the universe, and
one of the major festivals of her worship is Chaitra Navratri.

Hindu New Year starts from Chaitra Shukla Pratipada. Lord Vishnu created the earth in the form of a fish. Later
Lord Vishnu incarnated as Sri Rama therewithal, Durga Goddess Adishakti appeared to Chaitra Pratipada and it
was on her instructions that Brahma created the creation, we have four Navratri celebrations in a year. Two of
these Gupta Navratri are Chaitra Navratri and Sharadiya Navratri.

Everyone has their own beliefs while celebrating chaitra navratri. But all generally during
Chaitra Navratri the Sun changes its sign and during this the Sun enters the sign of Aries. From
Chaitra Navratri, the Hindu New Year Panchangai calculation starts. Sun's entry into Aries affects all other signs.
That is why this period is considered very auspicious. It is said that during this time while being on earth Goddess
adi Shakti shields earth with her supernatural powers.

Knowing this importance of Chaitra Navratri, Mr. Shelaramama Foundation. From the concept of Sushant Shelar, it
has been decided to celebrate Chaitra Navratri for the first time from this year. This festival is being organized in
Lower Parel area of ​Mumbai by the organization 'Shelarmama Foundation' which has been actively working in
the social and cultural field for the past many years. This is the main purpose of Chaitra Shukla Pratipada.

Lalbaug, Lower Parel. There is a flyover which constitutes the biggest part of Currey
