NARRATIVE REPORT

On our first day, Sir Adlawan gave us the list of our agenda in our 5 days
Immersion. He explained each activity that we will be doing for our 5 days. We
also have a brief discussion about Food and Beverage Services. He introduced
the different kinds of glasswares, chinawares, hollowares, and silverwares. He
also discussed the Basic function of food service attendants.

During our 2nd day, Sir Adlawan introduced and the different kinds of
glasswares, chinawares, hollowares, and silverwares; He let us familiarized it,
and had a short quiz after. He also discussed and demonstrated the different
kinds of Table Setting (breakfast, lunch, dinner, formal); and the Telephone
Operating as well. He told us to study the different kinds of Table setting for we
will have a demonstration on our 3rd day. After the discussion, he let us make
our own script for Telephone Operating and performed it after.

On our 3rd day, our Sir discussed the Taking Orders, 7 serving policies, and
Wine Service. After the discussion, he let us make our own script for taking
guest orders that includes the 7 serving policies. We have a draw (“bunot-
bunot”) on what type of Table Setting we will perform. After the draw, we
performed the Table Setting, as well as the Taking guest orders. Hours later, Sir
Adlawan demonstrated the proper way to serve Wines (Red and White Wines).
After that, he let us perform the proper way and proper handling in serving
Wines.

On the 4th day, Sir Adlawan gave us time to practice on How to fold table
napkins with different designs. Hours later, we performed 10 different
kinds/design of Napkin Folds within 8 minutes. Sir Adlawan also demonstrated
the proper handling on how to Carry plates and bussing plates. After that, he let
us practice carrying 4 plates and bussing plates for we will have a
demonstration on our last day.

Finally, our last day, during this time, Sir Adlawan gave us some time to
practice more on how to carry and buss plates. He also demonstrated the proper
and easier way on how to change table cloth. Hour later, we performed the
proper table cloth changing, the Carrying of 4 plates and bussing it.

During the 5 days of Immersion, I can tell that I really learned a lot because of
Sir Adlawan, who let us understand things about Food and Beverage Services. I
had fun on performing activities; I learned the proper ways of handling Plates,
Wines, Serving food, and Welcoming Guest. I will surely apply what I learned
in this Immersion someday when I get the chance to work on a Hotel or Fine
Dining Restaurants.
