Literacy Report Geneva Primary

Month(S): September 5- October 31,2022

The beginning of the school year was smooth. Grade one was administered their GOLIP which

was used to diagnose reading level of students. Teachers from 2-6 completed their Diagnostic

tests using the IDRI which were done and recorded.

Analysis of the test for the different grades are as are as follow:

Grade 1, 44.4% of students are at class level and 55.5% are below

Grade 2 , 37.5% is above class level and 64.2% is below class level.

Grade 3, 10% of the students are above class level, while 90% is reading below class level.

Grade 4 , 21.6% is at class level and 73.3% below class level. Two students are yet to be

assessed

Grade 5, 21.4% is above class level, 7.14% is at class level 71.4% is below class level.

Grade 6, 13.63% are above grade level, 31.8% at grade level and 54.5% is below grade level.

After doing the diagnostic teachers were encouraged by the principal to plan effective lessons

that catered to students learning level and needs.
