COURSE / SECTION: CWTS102/A59
ACTIVITY TITLE: TERM-END ASSESSMENT
CASE STORY TITLE: One’s Commitment

PRE-NSTP (EXPECTATION, NOTION AND IDEA)

Give your thoughts on what are your roles in the University’s initiative towards sustainability and
development for our partner communities. (The University’s initiative can be referred from the activities on
Radiance Journal as reflected on the QRCode link.)
Student’s Answer:
Like the notion of sustainable development, the term "sustainability" is not at all straightforward. The
concept of sustainability can be expanded upon, and it is generally acknowledged that to attain
sustainability, we must harmoniously balance economic, environmental, and social concerns. According to
sustainable development, to maintain our ability to live sustainably, we must take care of our
environment, our resources, and our people. In addition, we can leave our earth to our offspring and
grandchildren, so they can live sustainably.

Thinking about my duties in achieving sustainability and development helps me come up with a plan that
could benefit both our school and our partners. One of the things I learned in CWTS 101 was how to do a
SWOT analysis for various scenarios to accurately evaluate the issue at hand. While creating this system, I
would like to take that concept into consideration. Knowing what needs to get done and what needs to be
discussed more, doing would benefit both sides. Fighting while having one eye open is superior to fighting
while being blind. I might also offer my assistance by working on various projects with them to assure
their completion. One ant might not kill you, but a colony will, so even though my contribution is little, I
hope to inspire others to get involved and help make this effort a success.
