Adani signs agreement with Israel agency for access to technology

Why? - An Israeli start-up wishing to enter the world's fastest-growing economy—


India—decided to work with The Adani Group, one of the country's largest
corporations. Through this MoU, the Israel Innovation Authority will give Israeli
enterprises a special chance to jointly develop, test, and scale up cutting-edge
innovations with Adani's numerous businesses in the areas of renewable energy,
artificial intelligence, logistics, and more.

When? - Adani Enterprises and the Israel Innovation Authority (IIA), the
government-funded organisation in charge of managing that nation's innovation
strategy, signed a technology partnership deal on Thursday.

Implications - As the cooperation promotes innovation projects, the memorandum of


understanding (MoU) will establish an innovation platform that will enable Adani
Group businesses to access technological solutions offered by Israeli start-ups.
The collaboration will touch on the Indian group's primary industries of
agriculture, cyber, artificial intelligence, the internet of things, and 5G.
The Adani group intends to digitally integrate its businesses through the
construction of a massive industrial operations cloud, the linking of its data
centres via a network of submarine and terrestrial cables, industrial-grade 5G
connectivity, the creation of the super app to provide a range of services to its
400 million consumers, and the establishment of a world-class AI centre of
excellence.
