KKDAT or Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terrorismo is a youth organization convened by the Philippine
National Police (PNP). It’s objective is to mobilize the Filipino youth as the government’s partners in the fight against
illegal drugs and terrorism. As educators and as part of government sectors, it is our utmost concern to have such
awarenes campaign like this so as learners help save our country from the effects of illegal drugs and terrorism. The
school is one of the institution that should be safe and a drug-free environment. The main reason why the KKDAT
Launching was conducted so as learners will become more responsible and knowledgeable enough to refrain
theirselves in using any illegal drug substance and refuse to participate in any kind of terrorist activities.
In connection to this matter, KKDAT launching was conducted on November 24, 2022. It was started with
an invocation followed by the Philippine National Anthem through a sound system. Welcome address was given by
the Barangay Chairman, Honorable Reynaldo S. Maranga and the rationale was given by the School NDEP
Coordinator/ School BADAC Coordinator (Ms. Jeverlyn C. Luder). The formal launching of KKDAT was done by the SK
Chairperson, Hon. Christine Monique B. Roseque. The KKDAT Launching started with a speech from PNP
Representative of San Francisco followed by the discussion of the Coastguard Representative (PO2 Francis Eric
Comahig), RHU Representative (Aricel Nudalo Grabato) and BADAC Representative (Hon. Dioscoro B. Linao). The
open forum was then facilitated by each speakers to give more clarrifications and emphasis on their topic.
For the concluding part of the program, an inspirational message was given by Hon. Francis N. Lucernas,
the Municipal Council/MADAC Focal Person and ended by the acknowledgement given by our School Head, Sir
Joseph R. Nudalo.
To sum it up, children are the most vulnerable to temptation on illegal drugs and terrorism due to many
factors and influences. Because of this program, they will take their part to make positive impact for the success of
this KKDAT Program as a nationwide movement. Learners will also take good care of their total well-being in terms of
mental, physical, and spritual health as well as on their social aspects in life. Lastly, their lives will become much
more wonderful and peaceful without illegal drugs and terrorism.

NARRATIVE REPORT
One of the challenging problems that our country is facing nowadays and even on this recent times is drug
addiction and drug abuse. To address this tough problem, the National Drug Education Program (NDEP) aims to
prevent it from experiencing among our learners through strengthening this program to all schools to develop pupils
with desirable values, attitudes and practices by resisting any drug substance. It is really a serious problem in our
society that needs to be addressed by the government sectors, private institutions as well as on individual citizens
with an active coordination of all school organizations to promote drug awareness campaign to eradicate and reduce
the adverse effects on it.
One of the ideal activity that has been implemented is the facebook live streaming that has been conducted
last March 20, 2021 together with the district and School NDEP Coordinators so learners can prevent the use of
illegal drugs. We have been reminded to stay updated and connected to our students to track records and comply
necessary report in line with NDEP activities to do their share in fighting against this social issue.
In view of it’s implementation of NDEP, the School NDEP Coordinators were all required to join the “Barkada
Kontra Droga National Orientation” to fight against this rampant problem by educating our students on the dangers
posed by the drug abuse and drug addiction. One of such activities we can practice is to integrate lessons with drug
education showing pictures, educational videos and other learning resources using social media platforms to
provoke creative and critical thinking skills by asking HOTS questions in the activities and assessments given to
pupils. They should also have sports involvement but as of this time of pandemic due to health restrictions, children
are not allowed to go outside to do outdoor activities to avoid mass gathering that can cause the spread of COVID-
19.
Following health protocols should always be observe while children are in their own comfort zone at home
while they are learning to stay healthy by providing flyers and test questions to measure their understanding about
drug education. As NDEP Coordinators and teachers, we need to be united in promoting a drug-free environment by
providing learning materials for them to study and learn despite of this health crisis we are experiencing. In this way,
they will refrain theirselves in using illegal drugs and prevent it by always saying “No To Drugs”
As an institution with an utmost vision, we need to involve parents as part of the external stakeholders to
take part in instilling into the young minds of our learners to fight illegal drugs by encouraging them to avoid it by
all means. As their partner in facilitating learning, we have to integrate drug awareness for them to deeply
understand the adverse effects in using it. Education will be the key for them to refuse in taking illegal drugs.
