Almost 1 billion of children around the world is experiencing and suffered from abuses by

their own family or people around them. In the Philippines the arising cases of abusive
action is still increasing and therefore the government established program that would
help those abuse victims and create space for their healing and development.

Lets talk about the CSWDO Programs, the CSWDO aims to provide development to each
individual and one of which is PSP- Puluy-an sang pagpalangga and is now known for
Roxas City Crisis Center it is located at the old PNP station in Brgy. Inzo Roxas City. The
RCCC is headed by Mrs. Lorelie Suelo, RSW. The RCCC was last established year 2017 and
almost 6 years in service they also catered almost thousands of cases already focusing
on physical abuse, rape victims, battered wives and juvenile crimes, children in conflict
with the law and violators.

This program is supported by the local government and is funded by the roxas city mayors
office amounting of 500,000 pesos a year. The fund is used to the needs of the victims in
the shelter and its facilities. The foods are supplied by the roxas city kitchen. In terms of
health the RCCC is also affliated with the CHO for medical assistance, vitamins and
medicines in shelter.

The process:

The process takes place through referral by the CSWDO, PNP/WCPD, NGO’s and other
GO’s. The RCC limits the qualified victims to stay in shelter, they first assess the situation of
an individual base on its case. The victims should undergone medical inspection to make
sure that they are not carrying any communicable diseases that would affect the people
inside the shelter also its personnel. As of now they are handling almost 20 cases consist
of 13 boys and 8 girls, as of the moment the RCCC handles a high profile individual who
has a big case commiting to murder and that is why the center strengthen its security.
