1) Write a paragraph including four facts, describing how the person you chose contributed to society at that time (3 Points)

Amelia Earhart was among the greatest women of her time. She was the first woman to fly solo from coast to coast. She inspired the people from our time and from her time to try as hard as you can and try to make the impossible happen. She helped people to have more confidence inside them and make them realize that they could do anything. She even accomplished her goal to fly across the Atlantic. She told everyone that if they set their minds to their goal, they can accomplish what they want to do. She was also the first woman to graduate from the Curtiss School of Aviation. In her final flight, Amelia and Fred Noonan tried to fly across the world. They had traveled 22,000 miles and had only 7,000 more when the plane unexpectedly had errors. Unable to communicate, Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan disappeared. Although no one knows what has happened to them, we know that Amelia Earhart has changed the world in a positive way. She has sent messages to people encouraging them to achieve their dreams. She contributed a lot to society in her time.

7) You are a famous woman in history. Write a journal entry from her point o view. Include one magic 3 and other smiley face tricks you learned in Language

Arts/Reading. The journal entry must include important events or discuss an important day that changed her life (4 Points)

Dear Journal,

May 21, 1937

Fred and I are about to leave Los Angeles, California to start our exciting adventure! We are going to try to fly around the world, once again. Even though this is my second time, the anticipation is building up on me. We had already delayed our flight because of the inclement weather but today seemed fair enough to leave and start our journey. As I look at our plane, glance at Fred and smile an encouraging smile to everyone, I feel as it is time for take off and leave while we still have the guts to do it. I dont want to chicken out, especially since I have come this far in my career. We are heading to Miami, Florida first to make a quick stop there, and after that a few breaks here and there. I am about to climb my plane and hope that all goes well. In my second attempt of doing this, I hope to succeed. Wish my luck, journal! -Amelia

10) If this important person in history did not exist, how would it change our world today? How might our world today be different? Explain in 1-2 paragraphs. (4 Points)

If Amelia Earhart did not exist in this world ever our world would be very different than what it is today. Probably no woman on Earth would have the courage and ambitiousness to fly solo in a plane. Amelia Earhart was the first women to do that. If she had not been born then nobody would have done what Amelia had done for a very long time. Amelia Earhart was a woman who changed history. She had the nerve and determination to go and do challenging tasks by herself. She taught a lot of young and old people that. If she had not existed, she wouldnt have been able to teach and to tell people that they should follow any of their dreams and try as hard as they could to achieve it, even if they were out of the ordinary or impossible to achieve.
