(ARISTOTLE MODEL) (SCHRAMM'S MODEL)

According to Toolshero (2018), the great
philosopher Aristotle already created this linear
model before 300 BC, placing more emphasis
on public speaking than on interpersonal
communication. The widely accepted and the
most common model of communication where
the sender sends the information or a message
to the receivers to influence them and make
them respond and act accordingly. Here the
sender is the active member and the receiver is
passive one.
According to Mehta (2022), it was first
suggested in 1954, and it was based on the
Shannon-Weaver model. Encoding and
decoding are the two basic steps of efficient
communication, according to Schramm’s
concept. This is the first communication model
that isn’t a linear one. It is incapable of dealing
with complex communication processes or a
communication model with several layers. This
model is more practical.

Acording to Theintactone (2019), they are

a systematic representations of the
process which helps in understanding how
communication works can be done. These
models show the process metaphorically
and in symbols. They form general
perspectives on communication by
breaking communication from complex to
simple and keeps the components in order.
These models are used by business
companies and other firms to foster their
communication, explore their options and
evaluate their own situations. They are
also used to understand how receiver will
interpret the message. These models have
a sender and a receiver.

(SHANNON-WEAVER MODEL) (DANCE HELICAL MODEL)

Shannon and Weaver developed the Shannon-
Weaver model, which is also known as the linear
communication model (Weaver & Shannon,
1963). As indicated by its name, the scholars
believed that communication occurred in a linear
fashion, where a sender encodes a message
through a channel to a receiver, who will decode
the message. Feedback is not immediate. One
of the first and most influential models of
communication.
According to Janse (2019), it was published by
Frank Dance in 1967. He emphasised the role of
disruptions and problems in communication.
Communication is represented as a spiral
process, from a person's birth to the present.
Both linear and circular. It is rejected by many
critics. The model has few to no identifiable
variables. The model cannot be tested, and is
very abstract.
