NOWADAYS MORE AND MORE TOURISTS ARE VISITING PLACES WITH DIFFICULT

WEATHER CONDITIONS, SUCH AS THE SAHARA DESERT AND THE ANTARCTIC

REGION AND SO ON. WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES FOR
TOURISTS WHO VISIT SUCH PLACES?
Many people choose new type of travelling to the locations with unpleasant
climate. Boiling hot deserts and freezing cold islands attract more and more
tourists every year. Demand creates supply, hence travel agents offer a large
variety of tours to the countries with complicated weather conditions
nowadays.
It goes without saying that places with difficult climate are in fact locations with
extreme conditions. Some tourists enjoy challenges by putting themselves in
harsh situations. I assume that people, who are fed up with their everyday
routine and want to escape from monotony of their offices, try to experience
new kind of excitement in hard-to-survive conditions. More people decide to
check if they are able to resist nature’s strength test.
There is no doubt that it can be matter of human’s curiosity. A number of
documentary films and TV programmes tells people about countries with
unbelievable air temperature, thus sparking their interest and wish for visiting
some unique places.
On one hand, extreme conditions provide an opportunity to harden person’s
temper and become more independent and self-reliant. In my opinion, people
who could withstand terribly hot or incredibly cold weather might solve any
other problems in their lives.
On the other hand, not every person may outlive this type of challenge.
Travelling in countries with unpleasant climate demands from a person an
appropriate preparation and fit body. This type of tourism can be very
dangerous for visitors with several health issues.
To sum up, travelling to places with hard climate might be extremely difficult for
tourists, but with enough training it can be a great chance to broaden one’s
horizon.
