CHUCK WRENCH
A chuck key, or chuck
wrench, is a tool that is
made for the purpose of
tightening or loosening the
jaws of a chuck.

A chuck is a type of clamp

that is used to hold a
cylinder object in place.

It holds the rotating piece.

Alternatively, it holds the
rotating tool on a drill or mill.
hold an object with radial
symmetry, especially a
cylinder. In a drill, a mill and
a transmission, a chuck
holds the rotating tool; in a
lathe, it holds the rotating
work piece.
SURFACE GAGE

Surface Gages are primarily used to extend reference

surfaces from it's precision ground base.

These gages are typically used in conjunction with a

direct measuring tool to transfer a dimension either to
or from a work piece. Precision Measuring Tools
DIAL GAGE
Dial gauges are measuring instruments that
can accurately measure minute lengths and
displacements.
Unlike other measuring instruments that
directly measure numerical values, they are
used for measuring the difference compared to
a reference or correcting parallelism.
SURFACE GAGE AND MAGNETIC BASE
A surface gauge is very useful when finding the
centre of a piece of round section material.
It is normally used to ‘scribe’ parallel lines. Its base
is heavy and this means it is stable when in used.
Surface gauges sometimes have magnetic bases and
this means they can be locked onto metal surfaces
making it easier to use.
CENTER GAGE

Center gauges and fishtail gauges are gauges used in lathe work
for checking the angles when grinding the profiles of
single-point screw-cutting tool bits and centers.
The center gage is used to set thread cutting tools. Fourscales on the gage are used for d
The gage is also used to check cutthreads and the scales ar
e used to measure threads perinch.
