1. Read the article of Patricia Francisco entitle FAKE NEWS, FAKE SOCIETY which
appeared at the Philippine Start, Tuesday, October 16, 2017, page 8 in the column
Campus, a regular segment of the newspaper.
2. Skim and scan the article written by Patricia Francisco; look for details, facts, opinions,
arguments and other relevant information vis-a-vis the state of public information in our
present society.
3. Answer the following questions comprehensively or explain the following statements.
 What is fake news?
 What is social media?
 “Fake news is an absolute stain on the profession (journalism)’
