At Harvest, we truly believe that education does not end at the classroom doors. We take
it beyond classrooms. Our aim is to create an environment that is both stimulating and
exciting for children and enhance learning opportunities. We believe in creating an exhila-
rating campus and for this very reason, have upgraded our infrastructure, added class-
rooms and improved our library. We Understand that today’s children are tomorrow's
future citizens and therefore inculcate in them love for service and society. The various field
trips and service camps that we undertake bear testimony to this fact. Our commitment
lies in the fact that providing a safe and academically challenging environment will
empower students to become pioneering thinkers, inventive problem solvers and moti-
vated leamers. It is the contribution of our teachers and students to our school population
that makes Harvest International School a brilliant leaning community.

Pe oTHarvest Intemational School is a K-12, and co-educational school which offers
Indian (CBSE) and also intends to start Cambridge (IGCSE, and AS/A levels) curtic-
ula. The preschool follows the Montessori method that gives significant additions
for the complete, holistic development of a child.
We meet the academic and developmental needs of every child by offering age
appropriate and child-centric curriculum. The teaching methodology uses inquiry
and investigation by students. Though the focus is on academics, we at Harvest
also offer arich program that combines Art, Music and Sports as part of the core
curriculum.
Harvest intends to initiate a practical learning approach in a child friendly environ-
ment bringing in the best of both worlds. The school emphasizes on universal
values and discipline through every day activities at school. Harvest also believes
in inclusive education. The school provides an opportunity for special kids to be a
part of the main stream learning environment. A learning lab / resource room with
a special educator ensures that the needs of these children are addressed.
Attention in each class is ensured with 20:1 student teacher ratio. The class
strength is limited to 30 from Kindergarten to grade 12
Our teachers undergo training on new pedagogy and classroom administration
both in-house and outside the school campus, for we truly believe that the
teaching leaming technique nurtures a child's innate creative potential.“Education is not preparation for life:
education is life itself." - John Dewey
Welcome to Harvest International School! At Harvest, keeping the moder global and
national context in mind, we strive to make the quest for learning a way of life; a tracition.
To quote Thomas L. Friedman from his book The world is flat “When the walls came down
‘and the windows went up.” Definitely the world has become a smaller place and children
of today need an education that prepares them to meet the challenges of the competi-
tive world.
| definitely feel very honored to be in charge of a seat of leaming that can mould the most
significant resource of any nation — young, impressionable minds, like sponges waiting to
amass knowledge. At the same fime we should not forget the simple fact that though
academic strength is an added power, children of today also need excellent communica-
tion skills, understanding of global culture and accede to cultural sensitivity. We should be
able to teach our children to face a greater examination called life and not just throttle
‘them with bookish knowledge.
At Harvest, ethics and etiquettes, principles and discipline, values and culture, are
ingrained into our children right from the Montessori classes to mould them into good
human beings who are capable of taking the world in their stride. We nurture the leaders of
tomorrow through a unique well-defined curriculum and a dedicated focus on education
beyond the classroom. We look forward to see you at our campus!

‘Our aim at Harvest is to work beyond standard ‘developmental’ and ‘teaching’ models;
with a broad/widened definition of these key concepts that takes full account of our chil-
dren's needs, capabilities and aspirations for the future.
Our vision, aims and ethos celebrate the achievements of each child. At HIS, students
discover and develop their academic, sporting and artistic talents, and the stimulating
atmosphere continuously offers them new experiences that pique their curiosity and
develop an inquiring mind. As educationists, we feel it's our duty to offer an environment
that’s warm, appealing and intellectually fulfilling: a place that students look forward to
going to every moming. We also respect the critical role that parents hold in supporting
their wards through the school years. We work closely with the parents to help our students
achieve their best, and step positively into their futures as lifelong leamers.
Lam privileged and consider myself lucky that so many wonderful students, staff members,
‘and families touch my life every day. What makes a great school? Is it the students, staff or
facilities? Or the educational programmes and unrivalled opportunities?
At Harvest, we believe it is all these things, and more!

Harvest Gives You an Edge Over the Other Schools.
Panoptic Academics
Students who come to Harvest are motivated to find their passions, talents, and
continue the quest for personal growth in all aspects of their lives. Children seek a
holistic value-based learning experience. They want to be a part of a community
that regards questions of ethics, morality and faith pivotal to human existence.
Harvest sets continually higher educational standards for its students by encourag-
ing children to explore, experiment, discover and lear on their own, in a guided
and mentored environment. Our excellent faculty provide a rigorous, intense edu-
cation that both disciplines and expands the mind
Going Global and Crossing Cultures
Today's education is all about collaboration. The big picture is to make education
seamless and accessible. We at Harvest International School, have been into virtual
collaborations. The students collaborate with many students across the world which
gives them a very different perspective of the world. It also helps imbibe leadership
skills, research and organizational skills, while having fun and learning all the way!
Skill- and character-building experiences
Leadership is all about having character, passion and empathy. Students at Harvest
imbibe these values progressively through more challenging Outdoor Education
trips. Students are exposed to various camping activities, outdoor adventure activi-
ties, circle time, and golden time for reflection and journal writing. Scouts and
Guides program develop the social skills and encourage selt-sufficiency, and gives
the students access to activities and opportunities that may have been otherwise
unavailable to them. Today amidst increasingly complex challenges to conserve
our resources, Harvest has been pivotal in designing strategies, curricula and
courses to promote learning for the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)"The goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child's own natural
desire to learn’ -Dr. Maria Montessori
Harvest Intemational follows the Montessori method for children of the age group of 2 to 6
years. Classrooms are called ‘prepared environments’ where a child's innate zeal for
leaming is encouraged through purposeful activities. The methodology is based on the
child's need to learn by ‘doing’. The Montessori approach was designed to help children
grow by letting them explore the world around them, allowing them opportunities to
choose among an array of purposeful activities to work on, with the guidance of a trained
adult.
The methods based on the child's imperious need to “leam by doing” and has a profound
respect for the child's personality. It enables the teacher to deal with each child individually
in each subject. Each child works at his or her own pace and the child has the freedom of
movement in the classroom. Children pursue their own self-paced curriculum, and leaming
takes place individually or in small groups.
The classroom is composed of several learning areas: Exercises of Practical Life, Sensorial
Activities, Language, Arithmetic, and Culture.
The classroom is comprised of mixed age group, between two and half years to six years,
This enables the children to leam from each other and form a community for themselves.
The abundance of materials makes it possible for the children to exercise more self-directed
and independent work. The activifies at Harvest Montessori help in developing the holistic
personally of the child.PRIMARY SCHOOL

* School years are one of the best opportunities students will ever get fo explore
new activities, try different things, and see what they are passionate about. Inside
the classroom and outside of it, they will start to get a better idea of who they are
and what drives them,
+ In order to create a positive environment in which all children are challenged and
inspired to achieve their innermost potential, Harvest has an array of activities like
dance, music, puppetry, drawing, painting, craftwork, karate, yoga etc.,
‘Academics combined with extracurricular activities form the essence of learning at
Harvest International School. This ensures the development of the overall personality
of the child by encouraging creative thinking, communication skills, gross & fine
motor skills etc., As children work together, it results in an environment of sharing,
cating, team work, coordination and leadership.
*Being involved in activities outside of school increases the student's chances of
creating friendships. Furthermore, extracurricular activities increase positive self-de-
velopment, regardless of where the activities take place (at school or away from
school). At the very beginning of the academic year, the school physician reviews the child health
and gives a feedback to the parents. Apart from vision and hearing, the overall physical
health report will also include a recommended diet plan. The health check-up is done once
in every term and the child's physical development is also tracked and monitored.
General awareness programs regarding hygiene, importance of eating healthy and
precautions to be taken to avoid prevalent diseases are conducted periodically for the
benefit of students. Our trained staff and nurse can handle basic first aid and we also have
a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) trained nurse in the event of an emergency.

Harvest's new IB-PYP wing
We are very pleased to announce that Harvest International School has been
accepted as a candidate school for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the
Intemational Baccalaureate (IB). We are pursuing authorization and hope that we
will be able to soon become an IB World School. For this purpose, the new block is
being built with excellent infrastructure and facilities required as per international
curriculum needs.ABOUT IB PYP:
Primary Years Program is for students aged 3-12 years and makes students active,
caring, lifelong learners who demonstrate respect for themselves and others and
have the capacity to handle the world around them. The IB PYP focuses on the
holistic development of the child, in addressing social, physical, emotional and
cultural needs. It is a framework guided by six transdisciplinary themes of global
significance and addresses learning both inside and beyond classrooms. The
flexible curiculum accommodates the demands of the National and Global
learning needs.
In the PYP, students leam about significant concepts through units of inquiry. The six
transdisciplinary themes that guide the units of inquiry and compose a year of study
are:
* Who we are
+ Where we are in place and time
+ How we express ourselves
+ How the world works
+ How we organize ourselves
* Sharing the planet.
Units of inquiry interweave subject areas such as mathematics, language arts,
science, and social studies. This approach encourages students to make their own
connections between what they learn in core subject areas and how it relates to
the world around them,Harvest International School | _Harvest International School
