Check your personal protective equipment before entering Call for help / assistance. Inform Master, OOW, EOW. Sound general emergency alarm Check that the enclosed space atmosphere is hostile Enter the enclosed area ONLY equipped with SCBA Additional breathing apparatus to be lowered for a casualty along with a stretcher / rescue harness Evacuate from enclosed space at safe area Transfer casualty to ship's hospital. Before transport, it should be established that moving him would not injure / harm him further. Preferably, move patient on a stretcher Do not allow a crowd to gather around the patient If necessary, ask for assistance, seek Radio Medical Advice, if required If possible, evacuate casualty to shore hospital as soon as possible Maintain a complete record of the condition / progress of the patient
