1 Sea lions / Walruses / Sea lions and

Sea lions and walruses live in the ocean. They
live in the water, but go on land, too. Sea lions
are smaller than walruses and walruses are
heavier than sea lions. Sea lions can walk on
all four flippers, but walruses can’t. Sea lions
have got ear flaps, but we can’t see a walrus’
ears. Walruses have got whiskers and tusks,
but sea lions haven’t got any. Sea lions eat fish,
squid and octopus, but walruses prefer shellfish
and worms. A baby sea lion is called a pup,
and a baby walrus is called a calf.
Some people think walruses are uglier than sea
lions. What do you think?
