Activity #3

1. Open Publisher and create a new publication from a template. Be sure to review the template
options.
 Open publisher
 Tap “New” in the backstage view.
 Then, select a template.

2. Modify the page margins to make them wider

 Tap the tab, “Page Design”
 Tap the ribbon, “Margin”
 Choose “Wide” to make the margins wider.

3. Change the page orientation to see how it affects the layout of your publication.
 Still on the tab, “Page Design”, tap the ribbon, “Orientation”
 From “Portrait”, change it to “Landscape”.

As observed, the guides have moved.

4. Add a new page to your publication.

 Tap the tab, “Insert”
 Then, tap the ribbon, “Page” – Another page with the same template will be added.

5. Move the page you just added so it is the first page in your publication.
 Simply drag the first page downwards, after the page recently added.

6. Close the publication without saving it.

 Tap the “X” button from the upper right side of the screen.
 A prompt will appear, then choose “don’t save”
