Honorable Governor,

We, the Grade 12 students of Camarines Norte Senior High School, are currently working on a
research project titled, Coven: An Automated Solar Powered Portable Copra Drying Device. This
research aims to develop a copra drying device to improve and acquire good moisture level for copra.

In line with this, the team would like to request assistance in your good office in the form of
recommendation to the provincial office of Philippine Coconut Authority. We would like the agency
to assist us in the national office for the testing of the moisture content of our copra cooked in several
trials and methods and at the same time avail the testing services in a minimal fee. The group has
limited funding because it was already allocated for the construction of the device.

Once this project is accomplished and proven to be effective , this innovation can be a big help for
our copra farmers to produce a better quality copra thus resulting to better yields.
