Dear Sir/Madame,

I am Jake Paul, and I am writing this letter to nominate Steve Harry for the "courage and
determination" award that the local newspaper is going to give out.

Steve Harry is a 17-year-old boy in high school who loves dogs and enjoys playing video games,
and he is also one of my close friends.

I nominate Steve Harry for the courage and determination award because he really deserves it
because he did something most of us would be afraid to do. A few years ago, Steve saw a 4-year-
old girl who was stuck in a cave. She was crying and screaming, and she didn't know how to get
out because the cave was really deep. Then Steve saw a snake coming toward the girl, so he
jumped in, grabbed the snake with his bare hands, and threw him away. Then he raised the girl
and got her out of the cave. Steve risked his life and jumped in the cave and rescued her from the
snake.

I think Steve Harry deserves to win the "courage and determination" award because he risked his
life to save someone else.
