Some very successful people, such as Steve Jobs, have never

gone to college. Which is more beneficial: The school of

“life” and learning through experience, or
“academic” learning from books and professors? What do
you think? Take a position and defend it.

Every person has a moment in life when he needs to say goodbye to

school and go into adulthood. Society, parents and time put pressure on
you to attentively and earnestly choose your occupation of life and start
your college life. But what happened to those people who chose their
own path and dreams instead of other’s warnings?

Late Steve Jobs is one of the most recognized billionaires without

college degrees in the world. Jobs is a great example that shows that you
don't need an education to start a great company as an Apple. If one
instance isn’t enough, lets consider other celebrities, who made their
success without college degree:

1) Bill Gates is perhaps one of the most famous entrepreneurs without

an education. He started Harvard University in 1973, but dropped
out two years later to start Microsoft.

2) Mark Zuckerberg is another successful person who did not finish

the smartest school in the world. He dropped out of Harvard
University in his sophomore year to focus on running Facebook.

3) Walt Disney is one of the most admired non-university successful

people in the world. In 1923 he went to work producing cartoons
with his brother, and they created a series for Universal Picture.
Later, he created characters like Mickey Mouse and made movies
like Pinocchio and Bambi.
Sounds so exhilarating and toiles, isn’t it? Every person in this list
exalted themselves in completely various areas, but they all have only
one thing in common. Subsequently, you may inquire…

Why I can or cannot be next Steve Jobs?

Nevertheless now, they live wealthy, fetterless life in addition to not
even putting effort into college education, they used to have some
special privilege.
It won’t be a breakthrough, if you know that all of them were
incredibly smart, furthermore they gained knowledge in school years.
Accordingly, if you have a dream and a lot of motivation, you should
start your successful path exactly right now. Moreover, you can notice
that Gates, the same as Zuckerberg weren’t dropped out of average
urban college. Not everyone can effort themselves just to quit Harvard.
Subsequently, we can draw a conclusion that material security also
played its part.
I assume, that the main aspect of favorable outcome still an ambition
and assiduous labor, everyone should take into account human’s
personal condition.
Life experience or formal education?
My position is that college degree is more dependable and veraciously
will bring your aim to success. Here are some causes why:
1) If you want to make your way in academic or special career, you
better should get a college degree for a complete picture of your
specialty of scientific work and experience that will help you
realize yourself in the future.
2) Colleges and university also very often put forward some students’
vocations, so you are able to have experience accompanied by
finding a successful job after graduation.
3) As for me, ambience – is also influential aspect of teenager’s life.
In addition, college is a great opportunity to meet people who have
the same dreams and aspirations as you. Subsequently, you can
find friends and expand your views at the academic level.
4) Professors are specialist of their occupancy, so communicating
with them can give you more information about the industry of
your profession.
5) The last but not least, the biggest reason to go to college is the
degree. In our world, moreover, during a job interview it takes an
important place.
Life after college graduation
Jobs, Zuckerberg and others are just a few insists of a successful
people without college degree. Think about, how many people still
couldn’t make their way in life, because it is a lot harder than you may
consider. Here is a statistic about people’s earnings depend on their
graduation status:
a) Bachelor’s degree holders earn an average of 66 percent more than
high school graduates.
b) People with a bachelor’s degree will add $1 million to their total
lifetime earnings compared to someone without a degree.
c) High school graduates experience an unemployment rate 8 percent
higher than college grads.

Subsequently, what is more beneficial: life experience or

college degree?
Life experience – is very valuable aspect and no book will never show
you as much as life. But if we reveal it from successful side, its not
reliable at all. Therefore, college degree is still more beneficial.
To sum up the main point, make success without college degree is
possible, but really hard. Likewise, listen to yourself and never give up!
