Cells: Cells are the basic unit of life. All living things are made up of cells.

Organelles: Organelles are structures within cells that perform specific functions.
Examples of organelles include mitochondria, which produce energy for the cell, and
the nucleus, which contains genetic material.

DNA: DNA is the genetic material that carries the instructions for the development
and function of all living organisms.

Genetics: Genetics is the study of how traits are passed down from one generation
to the next.

Evolution: Evolution is the process by which living organisms change over time
through natural selection and genetic drift.

Classification: Biologists use classification to organize living organisms into

groups based on their characteristics. The taxonomic hierarchy includes kingdoms,
phyla, classes, orders, families, genera, and species.

Ecology: Ecology is the study of how living organisms interact with each other and
their environment.

Photosynthesis: Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants and some other
organisms convert sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water into glucose and oxygen.

Respiration: Respiration is the process by which living organisms convert glucose

and oxygen into energy, carbon dioxide, and water.

Homeostasis: Homeostasis is the ability of living organisms to maintain a stable

internal environment, despite changes in the external environment.
