AFFIDAVIT

I, VISITACION TOH-TABARES, 74 years old, Filipino, married and residing in

Sitio Manga, Punta Princesa, Cebu City, Philippines, do hereby undergo the questions
and answers carefully translated to me in the dialect that I can very well understand,
propounded by Atty. Rommel R. Rosito on May 11, 2022 in Fairview Homes, Sabellano
St., Basak, Pardo, Cebu City, answering the questions fully conscious that we do so
under oath, and that we may face criminal liability for false testimony or perjury, further
depose and state:

Q1 Why are you here in my office-residence?

A To give my statement as to the character and lack of gratitude and respect for
elders and co-teacher of Annabelle Pepino my neighbor whom in 2009 or
thereabouts I recommended to our principal so that she could teach in Basak
Elementary School.

Q2. What is your occupation?

I am a retired teacher. I taught in Basak Elementary School which is now Don

Vicente Rama Memorial Elementary School. I am a plain housewife now.

Q3. How did you know Richard Navaja and Annabelle Pepino?

We are all neighbors in Sitio Manga, Punta Princesa, Cebu City.

Q4. How did you recommend Annabelle Pepino for the teaching job in Basak
Elementary School then?

Around my retirement year in 2009 or thereabouts I cannot remember well the

year, there was a new position in Basak Elementary School as we needed
another teacher. I went to our principal, Mrs. Lourdes Tolosa, and begged her to
consider Annabelle Pepino for the vacancy at that time.

Q5. Why did you recommend her?

She did not appear in the ranking in the DepEd division office due to lack of
experience and she is a passer of the PRC exam for teachers. I took pity on her
because she did not have a job and was just selling junk food etc. placed on a
table in the neighborhood.

Q6. You stated that she lacks gratitude and respect, how did you mean?

On September 30, 2021, I was going to wash my hands after eating lunch when
no water came out of the faucet. My son-in-law told me he closed the water
control because our MCWD tube got broken again.

Q7 What happened next?

I went out of the house and I asked Annabelle Pepino and her three sisters who
was in their store very near my house, “KINSANG SAKYANAN NIAGI.
NAPUTOL MCWD TUBO SA AKONG BALAY?” (Whose car passed by
because the MCWD tube for my house got broken?) Her partner, Rey Gonzales,
was the one who talked to me but Annabelle Pepino with her three sisters
replied, “NGANO KAMI PASANGINLAN? (Why accused us?).

Q8 What happened next?

Annabelle Pepino did not say anything but instead continued to take video of the
incident encouraging her sisters to fight. One sister even poked the table very
hard and I became angry and poked the table too.

Q9 What happened next?

Annabelle did not pacify and instead encouraged her sisters and her partner who
said, “AYAW NALA’G SABA DIHA. KIHA NALANG UGMA KAY ATUBANGON
TIKA?” (Do not say anything more, just file a case against me tomorrow because
I will face you.”

Q10. It was stated that the MCWD Tube was broken again, why?

It got broken many times but I never complained, just had it repaired out of my
own pocket. I asked them that time because it got broken again.

Q11. Why did you specifically ask them?

Because there was no other car that usually passed by that area that could have
broken the MCWD tube.

Q12. What did you expect of Annabelle Pepino at that time?

Annabelle Pepino instead of encouraging her sisters and her partner, Rey
Gonzales, could have pacified and helped appease her family and her boyfriend.
Instead, she talked back rudely and behaved disrespectfully, ungratefully.

Q13. If any, was there a previous issue or fight between you and Annabelle?

No. We never had any quarrel. My good memory of her was that at a time she
was taken in as a replacement for my daughter as kindergarten teacher in Basak
Elementary School.
