Thresher machine is a convenient tool that is use for separating wheat, peas, soybeans,
and other small grain and seed crops from their chaff and straw. Knowing that thresher
machine is very handful to our farmers, researchers set out to craft a mini rice thresher that is
eco-friendly and convenient to use. The researchers are here to see if crafting mini rice
According to Azouma, O. Y., Porosi, M., & Yamaguchi, K. (2009, Threshing is done
manually by farmers in many developing countries, resulting in poor quality paddy rice and
grain loss. As rice production increases, manual threshing becomes more difficult.
In addition according to Dauda, S. M., & Adgidzi, D. (2002). Rice threshing remains
a challenge for Nigeria's peasant farmers. The traditional method of hand beating is still used
to thresh rice. This method is time-consuming, inefficient, and costly. Also, the most
commonly available rice threshers are imported, which are out of reach for the majority of
farmers.
still rely on manual labor. This only proves that our project is still required by some
countries.
Our team designed and tested a mini prototype rice thresher in order to mechanize this
process. The thresher's components were designed, fabricated, and assembled using locally
Materials:
High Speed Synchronous Motor

Ball Bearing
Packaging Boxes

We concluded from the results that threshing more rice straw reduces the time
required to extract all of the panicle. This thresher is indeed capable of threshing a harvest
from a small area. In addition to improving its performance and ability to thresh a hectare of
rice field, the materials should be upgraded by your choice; alternatively, this project will

Conclusion
Based on the result of our project, we can justify that it is convenient and helpful in
separating the rice grains from the rice straw without damaging the grains.
