THE EXPANSION OF

AGRICULTURE
BOUNDARIES,REGIONAL
CONTRAST AND THE
CRISIS IN THE
COUNTRYSIDE
Mexican
revolution

One of the motives of the

Mexican Revolution was the
distribution of free and
equitable land to the Mexican
population.

paty
Some of the main revolutionary movements aimed at land distribution were:

Madero Zapata Venustiano

paty
Constitution of 1917
in the constitution of the article of 1917 established the Article 27.- The property of the lands
and waters included within the limits of the national territory, corresponds originally to the
Nation, which has had and has the right to transfer ownership of them to individuals,
constituting private property.

Afeter the revolution mexico was not in a good state

paty
On January 6, 1915 the ejido was created. The ejido is a tenure
system that was created in Mexico as a result of the Mexican
Revolution to ensure that the rural population most in need had
access to land to cultivate and housing.

azul
During the long period from 1911 to 1992, more than 100 million hectares of land were handed
over to peasants, equivalent to half the territory of Mexico and close to two thirds of the country's
total rural property.

All the donated lands were not enough to satisfy the current
demand for food for the population and the industry

azul
Part of the procces of rebuilding the country was the provision of a greater infratucture and
agriculture techniques,like:

Agriculture techniques

Thanks to the distribution of land, the investment in infrastructure by the government and
the implementation of new agricultural techniques, food production, the economy and
industrialization increased

Juan pablo
The only problem with this is that the government centralized all the investment in just a
few areas where only 20% of the territory benefited.

Naoly
This brought an inequality of agricultural production where in some regions of the country
they had infrastructure and techniques for agriculture while in other parts of the country
they had to make do with the soil and climate. this also brought a shortage of food and
industrialization in only one part of the country.

Naoly
added to the fact that in mexico at that time there were no laws that promoted economic
development in an egalitarian way and there was no encouragement to industrialization.

Naoly
all of the above resulted in only a part of the population having benefited, this being
20% of the population at that time.

while in some regions of the country agriculture prospered, in others they had to make do
with what they had.

All this inequality resulted in the mexico we have today.
