CONNECT
Our residents meet with other students in their community with similar
academic and social interests and their R.A. who will serve as their mentors.
Throughout the year, residents will also have opportunities to meet with UL
Lafayette faculty, staff members, and other student organizations.
EXPERIENCE
Our communities provide regularly scheduled programs that give our students a
chance to make new friends, learn vital life lessons, discover their sense of self, and
have a little fun too!
LEARN
Discover new skills while living on campus. Our residents are introduced to a diverse
group of individuals and taught how to communicate with a variety of people, how
to be actively involved on campus, how to be a sustainable citizen, and how to be a
leader.
What is an R.a.?
RAs (also known as resident assistants) — are full-time students who serve as mentors for Contact Us:
residents. Resident Assistants help students get situated to life in a university residence
and enhance their on-campus experience. They help support the academic success, social reslife@louisiana.edu
development, and personal growth of students by creating programs and experiences within a
diverse community of learners that involve students, faculty, and staff.
Some of the RAs’ responsibilities include: 337.482.6272
