Pursuant to Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Service memorandum no. DRRMS-08-04-2022-0001
Department of Education (DepEd) Memorandum no. 34, s. 2022 and in relation to DepEd memorandum no. 34, 2. 2022, all
schools across the country conducted and facilitated the Psychosocial Support Activities (PSAP) on August 22 – 26, 2022 as
part of the school calendar of activities for School Year 2022 – 2023. In line with this, Meycauayan West Central Integrated
School teachers and learners actively participated on psychosocial support activities which are imperative in promoting,
protecting, and prioritizing the learners’ socio-emotional well-being as they transition back to in-person classes. These
activities were facilitated by the classroom advisers/teachers. Psychosocial support activity pack including the Teacher’s
Guide and handouts were given as a guide as teachers roll out the different sessions to the learners. Different engaging
activities were planned and executed in the class. Some of the activities done by the teachers are Feelings Circle, Feelings
Charades, There’s an Emergency, Problem Solving Theatre and Cloud Relaxation.
Teachers facilitated the psychosocial support activities as one of the important undertakings in the class. Learners
were enthusiastic and participative. In addition, the activities encouraged teamwork, sensibility, and confidence
development as students readied themselves for the actual learning process.
