III. Tools, Supplies Needed: 1 cup bread flour,2 1/2 tbsp.refined sugar, ⅛ c butter,½ tsp.
salt,½ tbsp.instant yeast,¼ cup water, ⅛ c beaten egg, eggwash (1tbsp beaten egg),
cling wrap or cheese cloth, measuring tools, mixing bowl, dough cutter, baking sheet.
IV. Procedure:
1. Wear PPE, wash and sanitize your hands and materials to be used.
2. Prepare tools, materials and supplies needed.
3. In a large mixing bowl, combine together the first 5 ingredients. Mix well.
4. Rub the dry ingredients with your hands, until all ingredients were distributed equally.
5. Combine water with ⅛ cup beaten egg and pour the dry ingredients. Mix very well until
it forms a dough.
6. Knead the dough for 30 minutes or until smooth and when blisters appear.
7. After kneading, place the dough on a slightly greased mixing bowl.
8. Rest the dough for 20-25 minutes or until doubled in size. Cover with cling wrap.
9. Punch dough to remove excess air, then cut into 8 equal portions.
10. Form each portion into round balls. Then set aside for 30 minutes in a slightly greased baking
sheet for final proofing. Brush the top of the dough with eggwash before baking.
11. Bake the dough for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
