I. OBJECTIVES

A. Content Standards

At the end of lesson, the learners are expected to:

a. Use divisibility rules for 3, 6 and 9 to find common

factors

b. Identify whether the divisibility is under 3, 6, and 9.

● c. Appreciate the uses of divisibility rules in our

daily living.

B. Performance Standards ● The learners demonstrate understanding of

divisibility, order of operations, factors and
multiples, and the four fundamental operations
involving fractions.

C. Most Essential Learning ● The learners are able to apply divisibility, order of
Competencies(MELC) operations, factors and multiples, and the four
fundamental operations involving fractions in
mathematical problems and real-life situations.

D. Enabling Competencies

Uses Divisibility rules for 3, 6 and 9 to find common factors

IV. PROCEDURES

A. Introduction  The learners will do the walkthrough of the lesson

expectations.
• In this part, the content of the lesson will be
presented.

• The learning objectives will also be introduced to

make the learners aware of what is being expected
in this lesson.
• As springboard to the next lesson, let the learners
recall the previous lesson about the divisibility rules
for 2, 5, and 10 in finding the factors of large
numbers, answering the exercise in given in the
Learning task 1 on page 8
● Let the learners learn the rules and determine if
the numbers are divisible by 3, 6, 9. (divisibility
rules of 3,6, and 9)

B. Development  Let the learners easily answer the Learning task 1

that Divisibility rules tell whether a number is
exactly divisible by 2, 5, and 10.
• The learners will discover that the rule is a
shortcut way to decide whether is exactly divisible
without doing division computation as in 2, 5, and
10.
• The learners will answer the problem in Learning
task 2 that is answerable by yes or no on page 8.
C. Engagement • Let the learners classify the given numbers to the
appropriate column in Learning Task 3 on page 9.

D. Assimilation  Let the learner formulate the concepts learned

based on the learning tasks, illustrative examples
provided and its divisibility rules.
● Allow learners to think and understand the
divisibility rules in answering the Learning task 4 on
page 9.
V. REFLECTION The learners in their notebook will write their personal
insights about the lesson using the prompts below.
