and low oil levels. Check the indicator is provided with low and
high level alarm and trip contacts.
15. Check all external wiring for correctness and tightness.
Check that the temperature sensors oil well is two thirds filled
16.
with oil.
a. Check Winding Temperature Indicator has a dial type
indicator with a maximum indicating pointer. The dial marking
shall be 20 to 160°C with ±0.5% accuracy.
b. Four (4) individually adjustable sets of contacts shall be
17. available for the control of fans, alarm and trip functions. The
contacts for the control of fans and pumps shall be wired to
available terminal points for future use.
c. The sensing element shall be supplied by CTs installed on
the central phase of the winding.
Check Leak testing with pressure (tightness test):- A pressure of
at least 35 kPa over the normal oil pressure shall be applied and
maintained for 24 h. Oil leakage shall not be observed during this
18.
period. Operating pressure (kPa) due to oil preservation system
shall be stated in the test report. The permanent deflection after
releasing pressure shall not exceed 0.3%.
19. Check oil level in main tank and conservator.
Tank and accessories shall be designed without pockets where
20. in gas may not collect. Where pockets cannot be avoided pipes
shall be provided to vent the gas into main expansion pipe
Check Drain/filter valve and lower sampling valve was provided
21. at a minimum height of one meter from the ground level, for easy
access.
22. Check all external wiring for correctness and tightness.
Check Oil Temperature Indicator with The dial marking shall
23. cover a range of 20 to 160ºC with ±0.5% accuracy.
Check it is fitted with two sets of alarm/trip contacts.
