Bearded Dragon

Reptile Care

Temperature:
Hotspot of 100°-105° with an average
temperature of 85°.

Habitat:
Dragons are desert dwellers who enjoy safe
sand substrates. Provide a basking high
temperature area at one end of the enclosure
with branches or other climbing apparatus
under it. A hide should be present on the cool
side of the enclosure.

Experience Level:
Novice

Lighting:
Bearded Dragons need 10 hours of lighting
per day. Heat lamp appropriate for generating
hotspot of around 100°, along with UVB bulb
to provide much needed Vitamin D. For added
temperature a red heat lamp can be used
overnight.

Staple Diet: Supplement:


Crickets, Mealworms, Superworms, Hornworms Waxworms (to add fat) and CalciWorms®
and Mixed Greens (Timberline Reptile Salad) (to add calcium in a natural method)
